Heron Tower tops out

The Heron Tower topping out ceremony took place last week and was hosted by developer Heron International and contractor Skanska.
Heron International chief executive Gerald Ronson, Skanska CEO Johan Karlstrom and Lord Mayor Nick Anstee gave speeches at the event which was also attended by representatives from Mace, including CEO and chairman Stephen Pycroft.
Scheduled for completion in February 2011, the tower will reach 230 meters in height. Currently the building comprises 46 storeys making it the tallest in the City of London.
Mace is providing full project management and contract administration services on the project.
