Matt Turner to present at Building's supermarket conference 2010

Mace director, Matt Turner will be presenting at Building magazine's second supermarkets conference on Wednesday 14th July 2010. The one-day conference is expected to be attended by approximately 100 delegates.
The topics of discussion Matt will cover are:
- Understanding the effects of supermarket design on delivery speed
- Going beyond the store: how to cut costs through an efficient supply chain and distribution network
- Steps to overcome barriers to planning permission presented by infrastructure
- Identifying the most cost efficient procurement routes
- Other speakers at the conference include construction representatives from Sainsbury's, ASDA and M&S.
Supermarkets/food retailers still make up eight of the top ten retail clients for the construction industry. Sainsbury's alone will spend up to £900m building, refitting, and extending stores in 2009. Morrison's has also recently announced its intent to add 1.5 million square feet of selling space.
